Notes and Tips
People in the 70′s, chicken salad with Chinese characteristics is made with shredded chicken, iceberg lettuce, crispy fried noodles and a sweet vinaigrette with rice vinegar and sesame. Since the Chinese in Asia do not eat raw lettuce salad, this recipe was probably invented in California and with appropriate ingredients and oriental flavor.
Asia meets the West. Instead of your usual chicken salad with mayonnaise, why not try this recipe has an Asian flair? Each bite of this salad offers a taste and texture from the lettuce, almonds and chow mein noodles, not to mention the sweet sesame sauce. A real treat!
